Seven integrated care boards (ICBs) in South West England have committed to a unified dental electronic referral service (e-RS). A three-year contract was established with NEC to implement the NEC Rego system, which will manage dental referrals across 12 pathways, catering to approximately 5.5 million residents in the region.

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, Devon, Gloucestershire, and Somerset ICBs are set to implement the solution by 2026. Dorset, already utilizing NEC Rego, will join the initiative by 2027.
