Senior assistant director of the Johor Education Department, Abdul Karim Masiran, highlighted the importance of smart farming in exposing students to potential STEM careers. The greenhouse is designed to accommodate up to 2,000 plants, growing vegetables like pak choy, salad greens, and spinach, which can be harvested within four to six weeks.

Abdul Karim noted that data-driven farming enables students and teachers to monitor crop health, including soil pH levels and temperature, from remote locations. School principal Siti Norbayah Jema’at emphasized the opportunity for students to engage in hands-on learning outside of traditional classrooms.
