Innovative Agricultural Solutions Unveiled

From January 15 to 19, 2025, the Chia Tai Fair showcased XAG’s range of smart agriculture innovations, marking a significant collaboration between XAG and Chia Tai. This partnership designates Chia Tai as the sole distributor of XAG products in Thailand, aiming to leverage drones, robotics, and AI to transform local farming practices.

The fair highlighted modern agricultural methods in Kanchanaburi, featuring eight immersive zones with over 600 plant varieties. It served as a platform to promote awareness of the essential role of agriculture in Thailand and encouraged younger generations to pursue careers in the field, which is vital for national food security.

High-profile attendees included Rapibhat Chandarasrivongs, Thailand’s Director-General of the Department of Agriculture, and Chia Tai CEO Manas Chiaravanond, who participated in opening ceremonies and witnessed live demonstrations of advanced technologies at the XAG and Chia Tai booth.

Central to the event were the XAG P100 Pro and the newly launched XAG P60 drones. The P100 Pro boasts a 50 kg payload capacity, allowing for precise spraying and spreading. This drone significantly reduces labor and time, enhancing farming efficiency. On the other hand, the XAG P60 serves as a cost-effective entry-level alternative with a 30 kg payload and a modular design that simplifies transport and setup.

Live demonstrations revealed the ease of operation, where drone pilots simply used smartphones to set operational parameters, demonstrating the drones’ capabilities in performing tasks like spraying rice paddies and spreading granules in cornfields autonomously.

Additionally, the XAG APC2 Autopilot Console showcased the future of autonomous driving in agriculture, allowing traditional machinery to operate independently along pre-set paths, thereby reducing operator fatigue and maximizing land utilization. The event also featured the Smart Electric Valve, part of XAG’s Smart Fertigation System, enabling remote irrigation control, optimizing water use, and minimizing manual oversight.

XAG and Chia Tai have collaborated since 2013, merging innovative technology with a deep understanding of local agricultural needs. They aim to tackle pressing challenges in the sector, including labor shortages and climate change, supporting the goal of empowering Thai farmers with cutting-edge solutions for a sustainable agricultural future.

Ms. Supaporn Kietisirikajorn, Assistant CEO of Agricultural Technology Business at Chia Tai, expressed that this partnership marks a pivotal moment in their mission to provide smart agricultural solutions that simplify farming for Thai producers.
